The Invivo TargoGridTM is a positioning grid for |
biopsies and punctures performed in an MRI |
environment. It is fixed on the patient's skin to |
facilitate accurate targeting prior to the needle |
penetration. |

The TargoGridTM has liquid columns filled with a |
mixture of isotonic salt solution and MRI contrast |
agent, which provides a strong positive signal during |
MR imaging. The filled columns show up as fiducial |
markers on the MRI plane scan. These markers are |
then used for the planning of the preferred needle |
insertion path and as indication to mark the incision |
point on the patient's skin. |
